Filing Period for 2010 Candidates Begins Monday

Durham, N.C. – Durham residents that desire to run for office in 2010, can begin filing for office at noon on Monday, February 8, 2010.   Filing will take place at Durham County Board of Elections (BOE) Office, located at 706 W. Corporation St, Durham, NC, 27701. 

 

“Our office has competent staff willing and able to help interested candidates file appropriate paperwork,” said Mike Ashe, director of the Durham County Board of Elections.

 

This year, 31 seats for partisan and non partisan positions will be open to interested candidates.  For a complete list of offices to be elected in 2010 and filing fees, visit the candidate filing section of the Durham County BOE Web site.   

 

The filing periods ends at noon on Friday, February 26.
