County Reminds Local Agencies of Important
NC Governor’s Crime Commission Funding Process Information
Durham, N.C. – The deadline to submit
application for grant funding under the
Juvenile Justice Planning category, offered in fiscal year 2010 by
the North Carolina Governor’s Crime
Commission, is quickly approaching.
To properly pursue funding, the Durham County Juvenile Crime Prevention
Council (JCPC) reminds applicants to adhere application rules.
The Durham
County JCPC stresses the following rules set forth by the Governor’s Crime
Commission:
- All applicants are required to notify their county’s
respective chair of the JCPC in writing of the intent to apply for funding
from the Governor’s Crime Commission Juvenile Justice Planning Committee.
- All applicants must submit evidence that their county’s JCPC
has been informed of the application and agrees that the proposed program
meets their county’s JCPC’s Annual Resource Needs/Plans.
Once
applicants gather this documentation, it must be submitted to Governor’s Crime
Commission by the grant application deadline along with the signature
pages. To give applicants adequate
time to submit proper documentation, Durham County JCPC has established a
deadline of December 7, 2009 to receive the following information:
- Interested applicants must submit notification of the intent
to apply for Governor’s Crime Commission funding
in writing.
- Interested applicants must submit any request for a letter of
support, an executive summary, and the
budget for the proposed project.

about information required for submission, contact Celia Jefferson, coordinator
