“In Touch with Durham County”, is a new talk show airing
daily on Cable Channel 8. This new show replaces the former Durham County
Government show that viewers have enjoyed since 1991. Michael Page, Chairman of
the Durham Board of County Commissioners and Assistant County Manager Deborah
Craig-Ray are hosts.
The
show airing in November features an interview with Peggy Kernodle about the
“Grandparents Raising Grandchildren” Program, and a conversation with Marsha
Basloe and Ilene Britt, representing Durham’s Partnership for Children.
The
purpose of the show is to share relevant, timely information from Durham County
community partner agencies, as well as provide interviews with elected
officials, county department heads and key staff. Future topics include adoption
and foster care in Durham County, winter weather preparedness, beating holiday
depression, health disparities, seasonal health topics and in depth interviews
with leaders of county nonprofit agencies.
“In
Touch with Durham County” airs three times daily on Channel 8 and is available
