The Administrative Division handles all business-related functions within the Department. For more information, contact the Administrative and Support Services Division.
- Registration - patient Intake.
- Billing - processes Department patient billing and accounts receivable.
- Budget - coordinates the budget process and maintains the Health Department budget.
- Personnel - maintains personnel files and serves as liaison between Health Department employees and the County Human Resources Department.
- Purchasing - processes all Department purchase orders and accounts payable.
- Vital Records - registers births and deaths that occurred in Durham County.
- Laboratory- Provides analysis of blood and other body fluids to assist clinicians in treating and or managing STD's and other communicable diseases.
- Pharmacy- fills prescriptions for all of the clinics requiring prescriptions. NO OUTSIDE PRESCRIPTIONS are accepted. Consultation and counseling about prescriptions are provided. Drug interactions are screened, and condoms are provided to the public.
