Primary Duties
|
|
- The Clerk serves primarily as the Durham County Board of Commissioners' secretary by preparing, maintaining, researching, and transmitting Minutes of official Board proceedings. Minutes of the Commissioner meetings, dating from the Board's first meeting of May 2, 1881, are archived in the Clerk's office.
- The office prepares and distributes the Agenda for each Board meeting.
- The Clerk maintains and updates Durham County authorities, boards, commissions, and committees appointments and facilitates participation of elected and volunteer board/commission members.
- The Clerk’s office is open to the public on normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) five days a week. The office is located in the Durham County Government Administrative Complex on the 2nd floor. All persons may request and receive information from the office.
