Pam H. Karriker, Commissioner

Commissioner Pam H. Karriker was appointed to her position on September 28, 2011. She replaced former commissioner Becky Heron who retired from her position on August 1.
Karriker is a third generation Durham native, educated in Durham Public Schools. She initially became interested in local government after serving as a neighborhood watch volulnteer. A mortgage processor and underwriter for 16 years, for the last decade she has been a full time community volunteer and pastor's wife.
She has been married to her husband, Dub, for 32 years and they have served as foster parents. |
