A resident of Durham for 37 years, Commissioner Bowser enjoys working for the Durham community and its citizens. Bowser has served on the Board of Commissioners for a total of eight years. He served his first term from 1996 to 2004.
As a Commissioner, Bowser often says that he did not seek office for the “glory,” but to give back to the community what leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. provided for him -- the opportunity to service the community freely and to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Durham. |
